How to find matches to bet on and what can I win?
Find the ice hockey championship event in OlyBet’s sportsbook and browse through different betting options for the game. Each event has odds assigned to it, which represent the potential return amount. The odds are directly tied to the probability of the event happening – meaning more likely events have lower odds and unlikely events have higher odds. If your bet wins, the amount will be determined by multiplying your bet amount with the odds decimal. For example, if you bet 10€ with odds 1.86, you get back 18.60€ (you win 8.60€). Placing the bet is simple – choose an event you like and believe will happen, add it to your bet slip, choose a bet amount and confirm it. Once the result is known, we will confirm whether your bet has won or not. Easy as that!
When can I place bets?
Bets are accepted before the event – commonly referred to as “pre-match bets” – and during the event – “LIVE bets”. Remember that LIVE bets have a processing period of a couple of seconds.
What can I bet on?

Important to note – regular time vs overtime
There is a difference between betting on events that happen in regular time and betting that includes overtime. You need to be careful to avoid mixing these two up, and for this reason, we’ve included the time in most market names. Most people like to bet on Ice Hockey with only regular time markets and that is why they are usually the first options in sportsbook. In IIHF, a win in regular time gives 3 points, a win in overtime (and penalties) gives 2 points, a loss in overtime equals to a single point and everything else 0 points.
